Judy Phillips, F.N.P.

Judy graduated from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing with honors in 1984. She worked in critical care of several years before accepting a position as Nurse Manager of Critical Care. She then became certified in Critical Care (CCRN). Judy was then promoted to Direction of Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics/Oncology/Outpatient Services and Obstetrical Services. She was named Employee of the Year at Desoto Memorial Hospital in Florida. Judy moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, where she was Director of two large Critical Care units and the Emergency Room. She was named Manager of the Year. She also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at Florida Atlantic University with honors, while in West Palm Beach. Judy then moved with her husband and family to Florence, South Carolina, where she was Director of several Intensive Care Units and opened an open heart unit. She was also over all pediatric services. Judy was named a Hall of Fame Employee. During this time, she also went to school full-time and obtained a Masters Degree in Nursing with a certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. This degree came from the Medical University of South Carolina. She then became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She began working as a nurse practitioner at an orthopaedic office. During this tenure, she was also the Director of Clinical Services and she was First Assistant in surgery. In 2000, Judy moved to Asheville, North Carolina and began working at Cancer Care as a nurse practitioner. Since working in oncology, she has become certified as an Advance Oncology Nurse. She was also named Oncology Nurse of the Year by the Oncology Society in Western North Carolina. Judy has been married over twenty-three years and has two wonderful daughters. She feels privileged to work with such an outstanding group of people. Judy loves caring for others and enjoys her job tremendously.
